Description

Social bookmarking music community website.

This is a project I just don't have the time or resources to promote, but it's a neat idea and could provide a good starting point for someone who has the time and energy to see the project through.

Here's the site introduction:
"Find the latest buzz on the best underground bands currently trying to break into the charts and the mainstream media.

Many of the artists we feature on the site aren't signed up labels and don't have huge budgets to promote them. They rely on making great music and you the music fan to vote them to the top. If you find a band you think people would like add them to breakthroughchart.com and help them get found."

Think of it like a digg.com, but for music. The potential is vast.

It works like this:

1. Bands sign up to the site
2. Add their tracks
3. Add our fancy widget to their bands homepage or myspace page
4. Visits to their site can then vote for them in the breakthroughcharts!

The more votes they get every day the higher up the chart they go.

This is ideal for someone who a) Likes music, b) Is down with the kids and perhaps knows some local bands. c) Has time to promote on myspace and Facebook.

This lot includes all the source code, images and .com and .co.uk domain names.

Revenue Details

Nothing at the moment, but with 100-200 vistors daily I'm sure someone could make some money out of this traffic. Even if it's just adding in some adsense.

Traffic Details

Source of traffic seems to mainly be myspace and Google. Level seems to stay pretty consistently at 100-200 visitors a day as you can see in the awstats screenshots attached.
